USTA Texas Section Community Service Award
Past Recipients
Inaugurated in 1989, this award honors a person who has provided outstanding contributions in promoting and conducting recreational tennis programs for adults and/or juniors. The award further signifies the vital importance of recreational play. The recipient must have at least three consecutive seasons of fieldwork in tennis through community centers, schools, parks or similar institutions. Other criteria include growth of the program and its community impact, development of innovative features, motivational work with participants, involvement of other recreational organizations, and association with the USTA through the Texas Section.
