FAQ

I am not listed, why? This list only contains those players who were either self-rated this season OR were bumped up or down. If you are not listed that means you maintain your previous rating. To search for someone NOT listed here, please go to http://national.usta.com and link to the search page.

What do these ratings include? These ratings include only league results, except mixed doubles. It does not include sanctioned tournaments.

If I am a 4.0 player and get an early start rating of 4.5, can I still play in my league? Yes, you can finish out the season, as well as attend the sectional and national championships. You may not, however, begin a new season, such as the fall league. These ratings do not effect the Super Seniors league. In 2007, the Combo League is not going by mid-season ratings. Combo will be using the 2006 Year-End Ratings.

What level can I play at sanctioned tournaments? If you are a 4.0 player, but get a 4.5 early season rating, you can still play sanctioned tournaments as a 4.0 until next year or the end of year ratings come out.

What does "Last 4" mean? Those are the last four numbers of the persons' USTA Number. This is to ensure you are finding the correct player.

What are the end of year ratings? The end of year ratings will include all league and sanctioned tournament results.

Can I appeal my rating up? Yes, if you are within the allowable range and appeal your rating, you will be moved up. However, no phone calls. Fill out the appeal form and you will be notified.

How do I appeal my rating? Click here for the official appeal form and mail to: Tosha Smith, USTA-Texas Section, 8105 Exchange Drive, Austin, Texas, 78754. With the letter of appeal don't forget your $5 appeal fee. Checks can be made payable to USTA-Texas Section. No phone calls, faxes or e-mails will be accepted. Appeal deadline is August 15, 2007.
