USTA Texas offers a positive Youth Tennis Pathway to develop a wonderful, exciting and worthwhile tennis experience. From School Programs to Kids' Tennis Clubs, Tennis Play Days, Hot Shots and to formal competition, follow this fun and exciting path for junior tennis.

Junior Tournament Tennis

As a USTA member, you have access to over 300 sanctioned tournaments in Texas alone. In tournament tennis, the sky is the limit. Whether you are aiming for a state or national ranking or looking to get in some good exercise while making new friends, USTA tournament tennis for everyone. Get in the game! Junior Team Tennis

One of the fastest growing junior programs in Texas, Junior Team Tennis has more than 50,000 participants and offers children the opportunity to develop their individual tennis skills and be a part of a team! 

Junior Team Tennis is designed for kids ages 6-18. They are immediately placed on teams. All you need to start a league are two teams. Matches can be held anywhere from a local park or school to a commercial or private club. Teams are preferably co-ed but can also be single gender (boys only or girls only). They are divided by the following age and play levels:

Age Groups: 18 and Under, 16U, 14U, 12U, U10 and 8U
Play Levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

NJTL Primary

Founded by Arthur Ashe, Charlie Pasarell and Sheridan Snyder the National Junior Tennis League program is an excellent follow up to the USA School Tennis Program. The program provides children with instruction in a program that seeks to develop character of young people through tennis and to emphasize the ideals and life of Arthur Ashe. NJTL reaches more than 250,000 children nationwide. With over 26 chapters, USTA Texas has over 16,000 participants in the program.

Implemented in 1986, the USTA School Tennis Program provides training, equipment, assemblies and special events for grades K-12. Nearly five million students across the nation are introduced to tennis through this program.

Adaptive Tennis
The USTA Texas Section provides tennis playing opportunities for children and adults of ALL abilities! Our Adaptive Tennis Programs include individuals with a wide range of disabilities from mental retardation to hearing impaired. We provide start up grants, instructor training, and curriculum guides.
