JTT Spring Championship at Newks May 18-20


The 2012 USTA Texas Jr. Team Tennis Spring Championship for 12U, 14U Beg, 14U Int and 18U Int will be held at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch, in New Braunfels, Texas from May 18-20. HTA Accepting Scholarship Applications


The Houston Tennis Association is accepting applications for several college scholarships to be granted to graduating seniors in the greater Houston area. The scholarships, which range from $1,000 to $2,000, will be awarded to high school students who have participated in high school varsity tennis and/or USTA Texas tournaments. Ground Breaking, USTA Block Party for 10 and Under Courts at Arlington Tennis Center


A ground breaking ceremony at 1 p.m. for the new 10 and Under tennis courts at Arlington Tennis Center will take place on Saturday, May 5. The women’s team from Tyler, Texas, representing the USTA Texas Section, captured the national title at the USTA League 6.0 Super Senior National Championships held at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona.
