HTA Recognizes 12 Students With $18,500 in Scholarship Funds


The Houston Tennis Association (HTA) has distributed college scholarships totaling $18,500 to 12 greater Houston area high school graduates. The students received sums from $1,000 to $2,000. In addition to funds provided by HTA, donors included the World Oilman’s Tennis Tournament, the National Senior Women’s Clay Court Championships Tennis Tournament, and West Houston Ladies Tennis Association. Houston (HTA) Awarded USTA Foundation Grant


The USTA Foundation has received a grant in the amount of $125,000 from The Coca-Cola Foundation, the philanthropic arm for The Coca-Cola Company. As part of the grant, the USTA Foundation will fund $10,000 to 10 NJTL programs nationwide that utilize the A.C.E. Curriculum. The Houston Tennis Association was named as one of the 10 grant winners.
